Unity Lamour Foundation Inc. was founded by Unique Dawson and named in honor of her daughter, Unity L’amour Dawson. The organization was created to build a legacy of service while helping individuals and families overcome barriers that can make stability feel out of reach.
Our Mission
To empower individuals and families facing homelessness, economic hardship, unemployment, and other barriers to stability through outreach, workforce development, identification assistance, food and basic-needs support, transportation, and resource navigation.
Our Vision
A community where people can access stable housing, meaningful employment, essential documents, reliable resources, and opportunities to thrive.
Focused on adults working to overcome barriers to stability.
Unity Lamour Foundation primarily serves Camden-area adults who are trying to move forward but need help addressing obstacles that can stand in the way of safety, employment, and long-term stability.
Adults experiencing homelessness, shelter placement, couch surfing, or unstable living situations.
Adults seeking work, re-entering the workforce, or needing support to prepare for interviews and employment.
Adults who need help replacing identification documents or overcoming transportation barriers tied to work and services.
Adults impacted by food insecurity, lack of hygiene supplies, clothing needs, reentry challenges, or limited access to community resources.
