About Us

Created from love, built for community impact.

Unity Lamour Foundation Inc. was founded by Unique Dawson and named in honor of her daughter, Unity L’amour Dawson. The organization was created to build a legacy of service while helping individuals and families overcome barriers that can make stability feel out of reach.

Our Mission

To empower individuals and families facing homelessness, economic hardship, unemployment, and other barriers to stability through outreach, workforce development, housing support, identification assistance, transportation, and resource navigation.

Are services free?

Foundation services and referrals are provided at no cost to participants when available. Direct financial assistance depends on eligibility, funding, and program capacity.

Who can request assistance?

Our programs focus primarily on adults experiencing barriers such as unemployment, housing instability, low income, reentry challenges, transportation barriers, or missing identification.

Does submitting a referral guarantee assistance?

No. Submitting a referral allows us to review the request. Services depend on eligibility, available funding, program capacity, and available community resources.

Can another organization refer someone?

Yes. Community organizations and service providers may refer individuals who may benefit from our programs.

Do I have to live in Camden?

Camden City is our primary service area. Some assistance or referrals may extend to surrounding communities depending on the program and available resources.
